Group weekly courses

Please find the next set of courses listed below that will be held in Knocknagoney and Saintfield.  

There will be four different courses that will begin the first week of November and will finish up by the start/mid December, depending on your location.

Tuesday classes are located at the community space in Tesco Extra Knocknagoney, which is a great venue to those in surrounding areas including East Belfast, Holywood, Bangor and the other side of the Lagan due to it being located at the dual carriageway/M3 junction.  Handy for picking up those essentials too either pre or post class!  These courses will begin on Tuesday 5th November and will run until 3rd December.  

The first course of this pre-Christmas semester will be a brand new 5-week infant massage course. This is an ancient tradition boasting lots of health benefits for both baby and caregiver. You will learn various techniques and strokes that both stimulate and relax your little one. It helps with many different common baby ailments such as trapped wind in little bellies and congestion in those tiny noses and chests...to name a couple! It is suitable for babies form birth to pre-crawling. Most babies begin after their GP check but sometimes little ones don't start this course until much later, perhaps 6 months, and I've also had babies start as young as 2 weeks old so it is entirely up to you when you wish to start.  These classes begin at 9.45am and finish up by 11am.

The mid morning set of classes will be a baby yoga 5-week course combining elements from the Happy Hatchlings beginners and advanced yoga programmes and will be suitable for babies aged 12 weeks to 24 weeks.  Parents/caregivers will learn various poses and stretches to help baby with those all-important developmental milestones, such as rolling, sitting up independently, crawling and pulling up.

***Please note this venue is doing ongoing refurbishment works so please bear this in mind and classes may have to change location at short notice if the community room is not suitable.***

On Thursday mornings there will be two 6-week courses running from 7th November to 19th December at Saintfield Parish Hall (just off main street).  The first course will be a beginners baby yoga course, starting bright and early at 9.45am and running until 11am each Thursday morning. You will learn plenty of gentle stretches and poses that are not too difficult for baby but will help with overall movement and over the 6 weeks it will give you essential tools to help communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and easy exercises.   This is geared towards the littlest yogis, approximately 8-20 weeks old.

The second set of classes in Saintfield, again with the same dates as above, will be a more advanced baby yoga course, and it is aimed at little ones aged 6 months plus who have strong neck control. The sessions will help build muscle tone, strengthen baby's core and spine and improve body awareness. Lots of nursery rhymes to keep focus and time for relaxation too! Time for this class will be 11.15am-12.30pm every Thursday.

All courses will run, subject to sufficient numbers. Please note spaces are limited for each venue so be sure to secure your mat so you don't miss out!
